There is a dark side to surfing as Tom Anderson brilliantly conveys... Anderson teams up with Marc, an old childhood friend who is a physicist and – scandalously for a surfer – owns a suit and tie. Their seemingly random surf dude conversations about love and death and the state of the atmosphere play out a philosophical debate between hedonism and seriousness, science and soul.
