As sink-estate vigilantes go, Harry Brown’s got competition … [this] powerful, punchy slice urban thriller that shows off Kebbell at his most compelling.

The Daily Express

Allan Hunter

Director Matthew Hope tries to juggle an ambitious mix of conspiracy theory paranoia, vigilante thriller, forbidden romance and gun-totin’ action movie but never pulls all the elements into a convincing whole, despite solid performances from the eternally watchable Cox and rising star Kebbell.

Kevin Maher

The writer and director Matthew Hope is on a hiding to nothing here, despite his efforts to stage Hollywood-scale gun battles on the streets of London.

Toby Kebbell has the looks, range and talent to be a major star. His sexy-laconic performance in The Veteran ... proves beyond doubt that he can carry a film … [But] beyond him, Matthew Hope’s film is sadly a bust.

[It] tries too hard to be an offshoot of the Bourne series … It's just never quite enough.
